1. The app

Fundea is a personal-finance app that helps you track transactions, budgets, goals, and bills on your phone. It is provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial use. The app may be updated from time to time; updates may add, change, or remove features.

2. Your account & data

Fundea does not require you to create an account with us. Your data lives on your device. If you turn on Google Drive backup or Gmail scan, you authenticate directly with Google using your own Google account; those features are governed by your agreement with Google.

You are responsible for the security of your device, your PIN, and your Google account credentials. If your device is lost or compromised, the data on it may be at risk; turning on App Lock helps but is not a substitute for device-level security.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the app except as permitted by law;
• use the app to violate any law or any third party's rights;
• attempt to abuse the optional Google integrations or the connected Google APIs;
• resell, sublicense, or redistribute the app or any part of it without permission.

4. Not financial advice

Fundea is a tool. It shows you summaries and reminders based on the data you give it (or that auto-detect captures). It does not provide financial, tax, investment, or legal advice. Categorisation, rule suggestions (such as 50/30/20 comparisons), and goal forecasts are illustrative and may be wrong. You are responsible for verifying numbers before acting on them, especially before paying bills or filing taxes.

5. Auto-detect accuracy

The on-device parser is heuristic. It can miss transactions, mis-categorise them, double-count, or misinterpret reminder due dates. Always review entries marked as auto-detected. Fundea is not liable for missed payments or financial loss caused by parsing errors, missed messages, or notifications that did not fire.

6. Third-party services

If you use the optional Google features, your interaction with Google Drive and Gmail is also governed by Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, plus the Google API Services User Data Policy. The app is distributed through the Google Play Store; your install is also subject to Google Play's terms.

7. Intellectual property

The Fundea name, logo, and the app's source code and design are the property of the developer. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer disclaims all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, savings, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the app — even if advised of the possibility. Where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app, which for Fundea is zero.

10. Termination

You may stop using Fundea at any time by uninstalling it. We may discontinue the app or any feature at any time, with or without notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — disclaimers, limits of liability, intellectual property, and governing law — will survive.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect any change. Continued use of the app after the change means you accept the updated terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will surface a notice in the app or on this page.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except that nothing in these terms removes consumer rights granted by the law of the country where you live.
